Punta Cana wedding cost in 2027: a line-by-line budget guide

What a 2027 Punta Cana wedding actually costs to plan: the line items, the prices we can cite (including in-house DJ rates), and how to get comparable quotes.

Planning a 2027 Punta Cana wedding? Most venues and planners have not published 2027 rate cards yet, and we only publish figures we can cite. Instead of an invented 'average', here is the budget broken into the line items vendors actually quote, with the numbers we could verify.

1. Venue or resort package. This is the largest line. Cap Cana and Punta Cana resorts with wedding teams (Eden Roc Cap Cana, Puntacana Resort & Club, Tortuga Bay) quote per date and guest count; La Romana's Casa de Campo is the nearby alternative. Ask whether the package includes the ceremony site, reception space, food and beverage minimums and any outside-vendor fees.

2. Planner. Local planners such as Caribbean Wedding Agency, DIDEA Weddings, GDM Event Planning, Punta Cana Weddings and Bodas Punta Cana quote on request. Bodas Punta Cana advertises micro-weddings on Punta Cana and Cap Cana beaches and Isla Saona, the most common way to cut guest count and cost.

3. Photo and video. HDC Photo says pricing depends on hours, number of photographers and deliverables, and a signed contract plus a 30% retainer reserves the date. Photo Cine Art, WBA Studio, Valiko Proskurnin and others quote on request. ExperiencesDR's in-house video/photo team prices on request.

4. Music. ExperiencesDR's in-house DJ add-ons are the one music price we publish: Wedding DJ from US$2,500 and Event DJ (welcome party, rehearsal dinner, after-party) from US$1,000.

5. Flowers and décor. Punta Cana florists WJ Flowers, Búcaro RD, Carmona Decor and NAB Designs quote per design. Confirm whether your resort requires its in-house florist.

6. Legal paperwork. A civil marriage requires apostilled, translated documents (see our legal-requirements guide). The Junta Central Electoral lists RD$600 per certificate copy (acta); translation, apostille and notary costs vary by country.

7. Guest experiences. Many couples add a group catamaran or Isla Saona day; operator prices are on our excursion listings.

How to get comparable quotes: send every vendor the same brief (2027 date, guest count, venue, hours of coverage) and ask for an itemized quote that states taxes, service charges and travel.

Hidden costs to ask about

Outside-vendor fees charged by some resorts; overtime rates for photographers and DJs; transport for vendors to the venue; document apostille and translation in your home country; and guest experiences such as a group catamaran. Get each of these in writing before you sign.
