Editorial policy
How vendors are selected
We list businesses that operate in the Dominican Republic and serve weddings, retreats, corporate events or excursions, and that have a working public presence we can cite: their own website, an official registry, or a major platform profile. We do not list a business when we cannot confirm it is operating. Being listed is free and is never conditional on payment. Vendors cannot pay to be included in, or excluded from, a comparison.
Sources and fact-checking
Every fact on a listing (services, capacity, prices, hours, contact details) links to the public page it came from, and each listing shows the date the data was compiled. Legal and cost guidance cites primary sources such as the Junta Central Electoral, the U.S. Embassy and the official tourism board wherever possible. Prices change, so we show them as "published price, as of" and ask readers to confirm with the vendor. We do not invent prices, ratings or reviews, and we do not publish star ratings we did not collect.
Comparisons are not reviews
Pages comparing vendors order them by the amount of verifiable information each publishes (cited prices, capacity, sourced facts). This makes them comparable, but it is not a judgment of service quality, and each comparison page says so. When a page includes first-hand experience from our own team, it is marked as such.
Use of AI
We use AI tools to help with research and drafting: collecting public pages, extracting facts into a structured form, translating between English and Spanish, and producing first drafts. Facts come from vendors' own websites and official sources, and each one is listed with a citation so you can check it yourself. AI is never used to invent experiences, quotes, reviews or prices. If you spot an error, email hello@experiencesdr.com and we will correct it.
Paid placement and our own services
Paid listing tiers (Featured, Premium, Destination sponsor) are labeled "Sponsored" wherever they appear and never change facts or comparison order. Affiliate and referral booking links are marked rel="sponsored" and disclosed next to the button. Our own event services are promoted only on wedding, event and corporate planning pages, and never inside legal or purely informational guides.
Updates and corrections
We re-check listings periodically and when a vendor or reader reports a change. Businesses can claim their listing to correct details. Facts are corrected on request, and the page's data date is updated.
