Wedding venues in Puerto Plata, Sosúa and Cabarete (2026): packages and prices

Resort packages with published prices (Cofresí)

Weddings by LifeStyle, the wedding department of the LifeStyle resorts on Playa Cofresí in Puerto Plata, publishes six packages (LifeStyle weddings). Solo Para Nosotros, for the couple only, is US$1,100 and includes a coordinator, a symbolic ceremony or vow renewal with officiant, an oceanfront set-up, bouquet and boutonniere, sparkling wine, a cake and a romantic dinner set-up. A symbolic ceremony or vow renewal for 10 people is US$1,850, with a decorated arch, aisle, a cocktail hour with appetizers and cake for 10.

For receptions, Amor en el Paraíso for 30 guests is listed at US$7,500, with a plated menu, private open bar of national drinks and DJ and lighting for three hours. Amor en el Paraíso Supreme, also for 30, is listed at US$5,950 with a gazebo, cocktail hour, dessert station, fireworks for the first dance and four hours of DJ and lighting. The lower price on the bigger package is how the page shows it on 28 October 2026, so ask which is current. Forever Paradise for 40 guests is US$9,000 (Dominican menu, open bar, three hours of DJ) and Forever Paradise Supreme for 40 is US$11,500 (international menu, dessert station, fireworks, four hours of DJ).

The same page lists guest rooms from US$89 a night at Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort & Spa and from US$147 at Cofresi Palm Beach & Spa Resort, and the rates shown there are marked non-refundable (LifeStyle weddings).

A wedding on a catamaran (Sosúa)

Sosúa Catamaran & Yacht Rentals runs weddings on three powered and sailing catamarans for up to 20, 30 and 60 people, fully crewed, with cabins and bathrooms on board. Its packages list a coordinator, officiant, decoration, a DJ, wedding cake, drinks, catering, photography and video (catamaran weddings). It does not publish package prices, so ask for a written quote.

Its wedding FAQ says the event lasts three to four hours, a deposit is required to book and the balance is due three weeks before the date. If the weather turns, the wedding moves to a private beachfront location. Cancellation at least 30 days ahead is possible on a 50% basis of the deposit, and one date change is allowed with at least four weeks' notice, possibly for a fee. Beach clubs and hotels for bigger groups (Sosúa, Costa Dorada)

Waterfront Playa Alicia in Sosúa says it has more than 2,000 square metres of flexible event space across indoor rooms and ocean-view terraces, can also set up on the beach, and holds more than 250 people at a time. Packages are tailor-made, with quotes by WhatsApp or email (Playa Alicia events).

Ocean Village Deluxe, on the Sosúa–Cabarete highway, offers its three restaurants, a bar on a pirate-style boat and a beachfront gazebo for weddings and receptions, quoted to budget (Ocean Village Deluxe). In Costa Dorada, Puerto Plata, the four-star all-inclusive Hotel Marien sells customised beach-wedding packages with a dedicated wedding planner, reception, floral décor and a honeymoon suite (Hotel Marien). Neither publishes package prices online.

For a smaller, informal party in town, El Colibrí Hotel & Eventos in Sosúa hosts weddings in its tropical garden and pool area, with orchestra and DJ options and a menu built with its team (El Colibrí).

Cabarete: build it yourself, priced per person

Velero Beach Resort, on the beach in Cabarete, quotes weddings individually but publishes two per-person prices that help you budget a reception: a buffet from RD$1,400 per person and a one-hour open bar from RD$1,950 per person, both with tax included (Velero wedding packages). Its rooms start at US$90 a night for a deluxe room and US$195 for a penthouse, and it also offers oceanfront yoga (Velero Beach Resort).

Before you sign

Every package above is a symbolic ceremony unless the venue says otherwise. A legal Dominican marriage needs documents prepared months ahead, which our legal requirements guide lists from the official sources.

Ask each venue four things in writing: what happens to your deposit if you cancel or move the date, the rain plan, whether outside photographers, videographers or DJs are allowed and at what fee, and how many hours of music are included.
