Punta Cana is the easiest place in the Dominican Republic to elope: the airport is close to dozens of resorts that sell two-person packages, and independent planners run beach ceremonies at Macao and elsewhere. Almost all of these packages are symbolic; a legal ceremony adds paperwork and fees.

Published packages for two

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, "Just for the Two of You", from US$710: symbolic ceremony with a bilingual secular officiant, bouquet and boutonniere, location, sparkling-wine toast, cake, suite decoration and a wedding concierge. Can be complimentary with a 7-night stay in qualifying rooms (Monday–Wednesday, 9 AM–1 PM, requested 6 months ahead) (Be All Inclusive).

Excellence Punta Cana, Lovebirds, US$950 and Lopesan Costa Bávaro, Secretly I Do, US$999 (Lopesan's requires a 7-night stay), as published by the resorts (Excellence PDF, Lopesan).

Fees that can double the price

The packages include 20 photos at most. Bringing your own photographer to a resort costs extra: US$1,180 at Dreams Flora, US$1,000 at Secrets Tides, US$1,500 per service at Hard Rock, and it is not allowed at Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana (Dreams Flora, Secrets Tides, Hard Rock, Hyatt Zilara). Making it legal

To make a Punta Cana elopement legally binding you need the JCE's documents (apostilled birth certificates and single-status declarations, Spanish translations) and two adult witnesses (JCE). Hard Rock provides witnesses at no extra cost if you have none, and charges a US$1,200 government/administrative fee for a civil ceremony (Hard Rock). See legal vs symbolic by country.
