Punta Cana resort wedding outside-vendor fees and guest day passes, compared (2026)

What Hard Rock, Dreams Flora, Secrets Tides, Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana and Royalton charge to bring your own DJ, photographer or videographer, and what off-resort guests pay for a wedding pass: from US$1,500 per vendor at Hard Rock to US$165 per guest at Hyatt Zilara. Every fee linked to its source, plus the villa alternative.

Most Punta Cana all-inclusive resorts let you bring an outside photographer, videographer or DJ, but they charge for it, and they charge again for every guest who is not staying on property. These fees are easy to miss because they sit in FAQ pages and wedding guides rather than in the package price, and they differ a lot between resorts.

We collected the published figures for five resorts below. Hard Rock's come from the resort's own pages; the others come from wedding travel-agency and photographer pages that quote the resort's policy, which we name in each case. We re-read every page on 21 October 2026. Resorts change these fees without notice, so ask your coordinator for the current figure in writing before you sign.

The fees, resort by resort

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana (resort's own page): US$1,500 per outside vendor not contracted by the hotel, applied per service, covering one person for one day; extra staff or extra days need a day pass. Any vendor doing audiovisual work, bringing their own DJ equipment or installing structures also pays a US$1,500 vendor supervision fee and needs a US$500,000 insurance policy (Hard Rock). Its wedding FAQ adds that no local vendors from the Dominican Republic are allowed on property, and that the fee is waived for a photographer, videographer, hair and makeup artist or DJ (no equipment) who stays at least three nights (Hard Rock FAQ).

Dreams Flora (Be All Inclusive, a wedding travel agency): hair and makeup US$250 for up to two people, photography or videography US$1,180 for up to two people, DJ from US$2,000 for up to two people, taxes included. Drones are not allowed, and outside florists and décor vendors may not work or deliver on site (Be All Inclusive).

Secrets Tides Punta Cana (Be All Inclusive): starting fees of US$500 for a hair stylist, US$500 for a makeup artist, US$1,000 for photography or videography, from US$800 for a DJ or entertainment and from US$1,000 for décor or floral vendors; the page calls them non-negotiable (Be All Inclusive).

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana (Be All Inclusive): outside photography and videography vendors are not permitted at all; décor, audiovisual, DJ and similar vendors pay US$1,500 per service, covering one representative for one day (Be All Inclusive).

Royalton Punta Cana (an independent photography studio that works there): US$1,200 for an outside photographer (Punta Cana Photographer). We found no published DJ or day-pass figure for Royalton.

Day passes for guests who stay elsewhere

Hard Rock Punta Cana: the page still shows 2024 rates of US$136 per adult and teen (13–18) and US$66 per child (4–12). Day passes are capped at 20% of the guest count, because 80% of guests must stay on property, and wedding-pass guests must leave by 11:00 PM (Hard Rock, Hard Rock FAQ).

Dreams Flora: wedding pass US$55 per adult (no bar or restaurant access) and US$40 per child aged 3–12; full day pass US$93; evening pass US$82; names needed 48 hours ahead (Be All Inclusive).

Secrets Tides: US$115 per person for the wedding events, from an hour before the ceremony for up to five hours or until 11:00 PM (Be All Inclusive).

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana: at least 80% of guests must stay at the hotel; the rest pay US$165 per person for a wedding-day pass (Be All Inclusive).

Worked example from those figures: ten off-resort adults at Secrets Tides add US$1,150 in passes; at Hyatt Zilara, US$1,650.

What it adds up to: one DJ plus one photographer

Using only the published figures: at Dreams Flora, an outside photographer (US$1,180) plus an outside DJ (from US$2,000) means at least US$3,180 in fees before you pay either vendor (Be All Inclusive). At Hard Rock, the same two vendors are US$3,000 in vendor fees, and a DJ who brings equipment adds the US$1,500 supervision fee and the insurance requirement (Hard Rock). At Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, the outside photographer is not an option at all (Be All Inclusive).

That is why many couples either use the resort's own team or move the reception somewhere that does not charge per vendor.

The villa alternative

A private villa, beach club or boutique venue is the main way couples avoid per-vendor fees and day passes: the outside-vendor fees above are resort policies, and a venue you rent sets its own rules. Guests can stay wherever they like, and the party is not tied to a resort's curfew. Ask every villa in writing whether it charges an outside-vendor fee, what its music cut-off is and whether it carries event insurance.

Our Punta Cana weddings page lists beach clubs and venues with their published capacities, and Las Terrenas and Cabrera have villa and boutique options.

Resort by resort: can I bring my own DJ or photographer?

Hard Rock Punta Cana: yes, for US$1,500 per service, but not a local Dominican vendor. Dreams Flora: yes (photo/video US$1,180, DJ from US$2,000), but not an outside florist. Secrets Tides: yes, with approval, from US$800 for a DJ and US$1,000 for photo or video. Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana: a DJ yes (US$1,500), a photographer or videographer no. Royalton Punta Cana: a photographer yes, US$1,200. Sources are linked in the sections above.

Not listed here? Ask the resort's wedding department three questions: the fee per outside vendor and per service, how many vendor staff it covers, and whether vendors who are Dominican residents are allowed.

How much is the outside vendor fee at Hard Rock Punta Cana?

US$1,500 per outside vendor, applied per service, for one person for one day. Vendors doing AV work or bringing their own DJ equipment also need a US$1,500 supervision fee and a US$500,000 insurance policy (Hard Rock).

Can I bring my own photographer to Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana?

According to Be All Inclusive's page on the resort, no: outside photography and videography vendors are not permitted, and other outside vendors such as a DJ pay US$1,500 per service (Be All Inclusive).

How much is a wedding day pass for guests staying elsewhere?

Published figures run from US$55 per adult (Dreams Flora wedding pass, no bar or restaurant access) to US$165 (Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana). Hard Rock still lists a 2024 rate of US$136 per adult (Dreams Flora, Hyatt Zilara, Hard Rock).

Are outside vendor fees negotiable?

Be All Inclusive's Secrets Tides page says the fees there are non-negotiable. Hard Rock waives the fee and vendor passes for a photographer, videographer, hair and makeup artist or DJ (without equipment) who stays on property at least three nights under their own reservation (Secrets Tides, Hard Rock FAQ).
